And developers are earning quite large sums from their digital creations.
The top 200 apps in the App Store are estimated to gross an average of $82,500 per day. Meanwhile, those in the top 800 generate around $3,500 daily.
Naturally, everyone wants to enter and try their luck in app development. The venture would not cost a thing, only your hard work and expertise.
Developers are also not required to go to college and earn a degree for it, as former dropouts like Zuckerberg, Uber’s TravisKalanick, and Twitter’s Evan Williams have proven. One needs to know how to code and maybe earn certificates, such as the ones for the compTIAA+ core 1 221-1001 exam, to prove that you are ready. Moreover, there is no age limit. People as young as teenagers are trying their hand at creating an app and, one day, building a tech empire.

Sokolov’s Trill Project was a huge success, getting about 10,000 sign-ups within two weeks and reaching individuals from across the world.
Meanwhile, Tanvi Khotwas about to become a senior in high school was the young developer behind Aegis. This app seeks to reduce incidences of sexual assault on college campuses. The app serves as a buddy system for women to safely get from Point A to B.
Khotsaid that she came up with Aegis, named after Athena’s shield, during an all-women hackathon, an event that gives coders 24 to 48 hours to complete a project. But she started coding just a few years before, during her first year in high school, using Scratch, a simple visual coding language that merged math and design.
Both Sokolovand Khot were among the teens who attended Apple’sWorldwide DevelopersConference (WWDC) in 2019. The two join the growing number of young app developers who, despite their age, have built promising digital programs.
Nick D’Aloisiois another developing wiz who taught himself how to code when he was 12. When he was 17 years old, his app Summly, a news-summarization platform, was acquired by Yahoo for $30 million.
App development has always been a young person’s game. There are millions of software developers around the world, and the vast majority of them are Millennials. The average age of app developers in North America is 34. In Asia, it is 27.
Teaching Coding to young people
Children as young as seven years old are being taught how to code and the basics of programming. It has become part of the curriculum as technology becomes more and more integrated into everyday life.
